Minecraft EDU at Thornton Jr High focuses on game design.
This is a student-driven, technology-heavy elective. The nature of the course will evolve as the semester progresses. We will start with the basics and end with large-scale class-wide projects. There will be history, architecture, design, building, art, basic coding, game design, and tons of collaboration.
The main product under development will be a self-created game.
You will learn: how to 3D print something you create in your Minecraft Server. Build a parkour map and implement it into a class-wide server. How to start, manage, and host a server, master different plugins, code custom blocks, and scripts, and develop your own game. You will create your own custom bedwars game, hunger games/survival games, and more!
